It was a good month to be Clementine Jane Davis. Our now two-and-two-thirds-year-old got to play in/on beach, lake, ocean, playground, mountain, and airplane in Philadelphia, the Jersey Shore, the Poconos, and back in Austin to start with the Donkey class… and she had a blast almost the entire time!
It’s been a busy but successful week getting back into the Austin routine. At least one of us has made it to the eye doctor (Annabelle), hair cut (me), spine doctor (me me me), meet-the-teacher (both girls), multiple back-to-school shopping runs (it was a complicated request list!), grocery shopping (our cupboards were bare!), massive house cleaning (spent hours secretly tossing/donating all of the old, broken, outgrown toys that the girls haven’t seen in a while/won’t miss), some car fixing (guess who) and of course lots of meetings in the past five days. But we are READY for tomorrow!
I just woke up in my own bed for the first time in 31 days – I can’t believe how long we were gone! Our final week east was pretty similar to the one before it – full of beach, playground, art projects and library for the girls but less busy with work for me (I had finally caught up), which meant I got to slack a little bit and take a few business calls out here:
