Holiday Home Stretch

Sometimes it feels like December is its own special kind of marathon. This week we celebrated all 8 nights of Chanukah and my birthday, and went to 3 Christmas and 2 Chanukah parties, the nutcracker, and a bowling birthday party while also trying to nurse a sick (feverish, coughing) Clementine back to health and deliver holiday treats to our neighbors (and get our work done and final gifts purchased/sent). Let’s just say, we all had to keep our noses to the grindstone:IMG_2932While poor Clementine had to sit a lot of it out, Annabelle was in heaven. After a lovely performance with the bear class of “How Many Candles?” at the school Chanukah party…

IMG_5139This evening we wound it all down by watching the original “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” preparing our little charges for the final pre-Christmas week. At least one of us has a holiday party every single day this week, so it should be an interesting one! On the plus side, I think we will all be TOTALLY celebrated out by the time January rolls around – I predict no post-holiday letdown for us!
