It’s not easy living with the most adorable baby on the planet:
We love visiting family, but flying with two kids during peak holiday times is not awesome, especially when one of them is Clementine. So we decided to double up Thanksgiving this year and visit Philly AND Ithaca over the course of a full week.
Having a 40th birthday and a 10 year anniversary on the same weekend is a pretty big deal. But having both of those things PLUS the first-ever Austin Formula 1 Grand Prix race takes the whole thing to a new level (especially if you happen to be a car freak).
So while we celebrated the anniversary last weekend and the birthday over Lobsterfest, the past few days have been pretty exciting in their own right:
This weekend was a big one in the Davis house. We celebrated birthdays for two of our kids’ favorite little buddies (neighbor Vic turned two and Annabelle’s school BFF Phoebe turned 5).
We may have held steady at about the same number of guests (nearly 100 adults and 50 kids), but we upped our lobsters (both in size and number):
I know that Annabelle is an introvert deep down, but you wouldn’t have known it by watching her this month. She offered up enthusiastic TRICK OR TREATs to strangers on Halloween, played games with the big kids at a Halloween party without cutting any corners or hiding by me, and took care of her little cuz and sis during our awesome visit from the Winters crowd this weekend:
