And just like that, our little nugget hit 18 months old. Frankly, given her penchant for jumping into deep water without a grown-up, microwaving metal objects, climbing tall structures by herself and tasting sharp objects, sometimes I’m amazed we got here at all!
Annabelle and I made a quick trip to Philly this weekend for two very good reasons – we wanted to honor Dad/Pop Pop at his unveiling, and we wanted to spend some quality time with Mom/Mamom. I can say with full confidence that both goals were met and in some ways, exceeded:
Dancing, drumming, playdates, real dates, great meals and good friends rounded out Father’s Day weekend for Marc and me. We splurged on a couple things we never do, such as family brunch at Perla’s (oysters, bloody mary’s, lobster frittata, lump crab, pancakes, bacon):
Sprinklers, neighborhood pools, indoor birthday parties, summer dresses, happy girls.
Annabelle graduated from “Bunny Class” this week and while it wasn’t exactly momentous (she still has one more pre-K year before any big changes), it reminded us once again how much time flies when you’ve got little kids. Hard to believe she’s been in the same class as most of thees guys since she was less than two!
